This is a hands-on and influential role, working closely with senior leaders, managers, and colleagues across the organisation. You'll lead a small but impactful team, including an HR Assistant, and oversee our Volunteering function, supporting the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure volunteers feel valued and connected to our mission.

From recruitment and people-centred policy development to supporting managers through complex employee relations and driving meaningful culture change, you'll play a key role in shaping how HR is seen, felt, and experienced across YMCA Lincolnshire. You'll also contribute strategically as part of the Senior Leadership Team, using insight and data to inform decision-making.

Duties



Oversee effective and timely recruitment of staff to the organisation - production of job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviews, onboarding. Ensure that YMCA Lincolnshire's Recruitment policy and all associated procedures are reviewed to ensure that we promote inclusivity, equity and seeks to ensure a diverse workforce. Provide proactive and consistent advice and guidance to support managers on disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance issues. Support Managers to ensure our people policies are consistency applied throughout the organisation. Develop and review HR policies in line with changing legislation ensuring Lincolnshire YMCA's culture and values are maintained. Oversee performance appraisal systems and regularly report to the Executive Team. Recommend and arrange where appropriate, Medical Reports and Occupational Health referrals, including completion of all associated documentation. Monitor, analyse and interpret HR data to proactively assist the Executive Team and Managers in decision making. Ensure the appropriate quality assurance standards are met demonstrate YMCA Lincolnshire's commitment to continuously improving performance, alongside Executive Team and Board of Trustees. Analyse training needs in conjunction with line managers and the overall objectives of YMCA Lincolnshire. Initiate and use networking opportunities through other YMCAs, training events and other external sources to share and gain knowledge and experience. Line management responsibility as stated above, providing regular and constructive formal and informal feedback on performance, seeking opportunities for development, allocating and supervising work on a daily basis and ensuring agreed standards are met and procedures followed. To carry out other duties within the scope of the post.
