Our experience has given us insight into lots of industries, including automotive, aerospace, electrical, electronic, oil & gas and marine with our extensive knowledge available to clients in all of these sectors.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join the Senior Leadership Team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Main duties will include:



Work closely with Supervisors and Managers coaching and guiding them in all areas of people management. Providing counsel and support on the application of HR policy and practices Development of robust HR policies and procedures, delivering briefings where appropriate to embed them into the organisation Lead the employee committee, engaging with employee representatives to gain feedback and ideas to improve morale as well as productivity Work closely with Supervisors and Managers in all areas of absence management, including welfare review meetings, occupational health referrals, formal absence review meetings and any requirements for reasonable adjustments Raise the profile of health and safety wherever possible, identifying improvements and driving change Co-ordinate the use of the Apprenticeship Levy and work with providers to ensure that all learners are on track to successful completion Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including but not limited to employee surveys, wellness activities, charity involvement, and inclusion and diversity events Lead and advise on all employment topics, always ensuring compliance and adherence to UK employment law

Skills required:



Ideally CIPD qualified to Level 5 Experience of manufacturing environment Ability to juggle a busy workload Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels Used to working autonomously and on own initiative A good understanding of employment law and best practice

Working conditions:



Full time hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (with half hour unpaid break) and 8am to 1pm on Friday Contract on offer is between 25 and 30 hours - flexible for the right person Uniform provided
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 26,000.00-38,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
