Starting salary 40,416 per annum (plus contributory pension)



About the role:



We are seeking an experienced and organised HR Manager to provide focused support and advice to MAG's Syria programme during its ongoing expansion. This is a dynamic and varied operational HR role working across the administrative and legal frameworks of Northeast, Northwest, and Central Syria. Working closely with the MAG's Syria and regional Middle East teams, you will be responsible for designing and delivering pro-active recruitment methods for both local and international roles, advising on local employment including contract modalities and employment law, developing HR systems and broader organisational People and Culture related support. You will use your skills to ensure our People and Culture function is transparent, accessible and legally compliant in each context so that MAG's Syria programme can deliver the highest quality of programming with the most possible impact.

About you:




You will have demonstratable experience of developing and implementing HR systems, policies and procedures in an international setting. Previous experience of working in a humanitarian organisation is not necessary, but you will need to rely on your sound project management, people management, communication and influencing skills, as well as knowledge of employment law and ability to interpret and apply it. You will be organised, with a proven track record of supporting organisational readiness and workforce planning. You will be flexible and solution-focused, with strong research skills and the ability to analyse and condense information from a range of sources. You will be driven, determined, and above all committed to high standards as well as MAG's mission, vision and core values.
