HR Manager \xe2\x80\x93 UK Operations & Employee Relations

To support the teams who are powering this ecosystem we have a global Corporate division consisting of departments including Legal, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Strategy, Human Resources, Central Services and PR and Communications.

Our Corporate division are now seeking a talented HR Manager \xe2\x80\x93 UK Operations & Employee Relations to join the HR Global Operations & Employee Relations team. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

Location: Our office in London (Charlton & Westfield)

Department Size: 4 (Approx.)

Reporting into: HR Director Global Operations and Employee Relations

Direct reports: 2/3

This role will work as part of a dedicated team working with the YNAP Global HR team and senior managers across the business in developing managerial capability to drive change, and assist the business in support of the development of policies and practices in helping drive business transformation, promoting ER strategies.

Here is a breakdown of what you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

HR Business Partnering

  • Lead a wide range of HR topics across the assigned business units (Distribution Center, Digital Production, Customer Care);
  • Advise, coach and provide first line support to senior managers in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures and best practice to ensure effective and consistent management of staff;
  • Ensure an advisory service to employees on all HR matters
  • Guarantee organization and associate updates in our internal tools and systems
  • Coordinate the processes within the employee life cycle such as onboarding, internal mobility, promotions, change of hours, salary increases or off-boarding;
  • Manage the year-end process which includes advising managers on meritocracy and differentiation, performance evaluations, salary reviews and bonus planning
  • Support the recruitment team in hiring processes across the assigned business unit
  • Lead the development and improvement of local HR processes, systems and procedures
  • Analyse Human Resources key metrics, utilizing data for process improvements
Employee Relations
  • Develop the capacity of line managers to manage a range of ER problems locally, developing management styles to foster positive working relationships with employees, minimising the occurrence of line management problems and issues and fostering a positive climate for ER activity
  • Formulate and maintain effective and legally compliant HR / ER policies
  • Manage a case load of challenging ER cases, supporting or leading investigations as and when required
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for HR Advisors and Business Partners
  • Deliver ER training to managers and employees
  • Provide key insight and reporting to enable sound decisions to be made strategic level
The type of person we are looking for:
  • Substantive HR Business Partner and Employee Relations experience at senior level in large, complex organisations
  • Substantial experience of leading, communicating, advising and consulting at Executive level and with trade unions
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment
  • Solid knowledge of current UK employment legislation & ACAS guidelines
  • Confidence and ability to conduct difficult and sensitive conversations with managers, and employees, both face-to-face and over the phone, showing compassion and empathy
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time effectively
  • Team orientated, flexible and enthusiastic with a can-do approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent standard of report writing and verbal skills
