HR Manager (Operational)

We're looking for a HR Manager (Operational) to join Millennium.

This role exists to help make that real. You'll lead the day-to-day HR function and work closely with managers across our services, supporting good judgement, fair decisions, and confident leadership. When our people are supported well, the people we support experience better outcomes.


You won't work behind a desk or hide behind policy. You'll be present in services, building trust, listening, and helping leaders create inclusive, respectful environments where people can do their best work.

What you'll do

Lead and develop the HR team Support and coach managers to make good people decisions Provide clear, values-led guidance on employee relations Lead people projects that improve consistency, confidence, and experience Embed inclusive and supportive ways of working Work closely with the Chief People Officer to turn our values into everyday practice

What matters to us

Strong experience in employee relations A supportive, coaching approach with managers Confidence balancing fairness, accountability and compassion Experience improving people practices in real, people-facing environments CIPD Level 5 or above

The detail

Salary 45,000-50,000 Hybrid role, with regular time in services (Wakefield) Reporting to the Chief People Officer
