Description





We're looking for a proactive and people-focused HR & Office Administrator to join our People Team in Cambridge. This is a dynamic and varied role which blends HR administration, office coordination, employee engagement and social responsibility. You'll be a central figure in creating a great place to work and ensuring smooth, professional support for our employees and the wider business.

You'll be working as part of a collaborative small local team to support initiatives across the whole employee lifecycle from welcoming new joiners to planning company-wide social events. This is a very hands-on role where no two days look quite the same.###

Key Responsibilities





HR Administration & People Support:Manage the onboarding experience for our new joiners including preparation of new starter documentation, coordinating induction plans and delivering a smooth onboarding process for every new employee. Maintain and update employee records in our HR Information System (Workday), ensuring accuracy and compliance with data policies. Own all HR administration including, maintenance of personnel files, management of department templates and intranet pages, ensuring documentation is up to date and compliant with company standards. Prepare employment contracts, onboarding packs, reference requests, and manage administration of the offboarding processes. Coordinate and report on our annual employee engagement survey, including communication to the business. Provide first-line support for employee queries, escalating where appropriate, and supporting the People Team with employee relations. Support recruitment activities including, liaise with candidates, schedule interviews and assessments, and maintain recruitment documentation. Lead and manage our social responsibility initiatives, including researching charity partnerships and organising fundraising events.



Office & Operations Administration:Act as a point of contact for office-related queries and support day-to-day office operations in collaboration with the Facilities Manager. Organise and coordinate internal and external meetings, conferences, and company-wide sessions (e.g. all-hands meetings) and organisation of company-wide social events including our Summer and Christmas parties. Manage UK and overseas travel for staff including visa applications, flights, accommodation, and car hire, maintaining a strong relationship with our travel provider. Provide administrative support to employees on long-term secondment, including settling-in support and housing logistics. Process purchase orders, correspondence, post and general administration across multiple departments. Support wellbeing initiatives and manage the on-site health and fitness membership schemes.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise





Required skills, knowledge and experience:Previous experience in an administrative role (HR, office or general administration) High level of accuracy and attention to detail in written and verbal communication Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative Excellent administration skills A strong focus on teamwork & collaboration A proactive and positive approach to delivering excellent internal customer service



Desired skills, knowledge and experience:Experience managing or supporting internal social responsibility or charity programmes Prior experience planning or coordinating corporate events and internal communications Familiarity with booking and managing corporate travel
