The HR Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to a designated area of the organisation, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. This role involves overseeing resource planning, maintaining employee records, managing training, supporting line managers with employee relations issues and providing advice and guidance to employees. The HR Officer will also assist in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Duties:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Support the resolution of employee issues and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, attendance, contract changes and performance data.
Lead the process of onboarding new starters, ensuring all compliance checks are completed, all documentation is in place and the relevant contracts are issued.
Plan and coordinate the 2 day company induction and oonboarding process.
Collate and check payroll data on a monthly, liaising with line managers and payroll to ensure payroll is efficient and accurate.
Assist with resource planning by identifying departmental staffing needs and proposing solutions to ensure efficient resource allocation and effective succession planning.
Assist in the implementation and management of performance appraisal systems.
Support managers in conducting performance reviews and developing performance improvement plans.
Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
Support the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with legal requirements.
Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to support employee development.
Assist in the creation and delivery of in-house training sessions.
Prepare HR-related reports and analytics to support decision-making processes.
Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to improve HR practices and strategies.
Skills/Qualifications:
CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.
Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Experience Required:
Proven experience in an HR role, preferably in a similar capacity.
