Summary
The HR Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of effective human resources practices across the company.
Working closely with management and employees, the HR Officer ensures that HR policies, procedures, and systems are implemented consistently and in line with legal requirements and best practice. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support, managing employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, and maintaining accurate HR records.
Responsibilities
Providing first-line support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and processes.
Leading on recruitment activities and issuing offer letters and contracts.
Managing onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintaining employee records in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
Supporting, attending meetings and preparing minutes.
Coordinating training and development activities and supporting employee growth.
Contributing to HR projects and initiatives to support employee engagement, wellbeing, and organisational development.
Supporting payroll and benefits administration.
Monitoring absence and leave records ensuring accurate reporting.
Ensuring compliance with employment law and internal governance standards.
Supporting the Head of HR with ad-hoc governance tasks and processes.
Uphold the organisation's values of empathy, integrity, respect, and teamwork in all interactions.
Qualifications and experience
Qualified to CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work proactively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with HRIS systems
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
37.5 hours per week working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
