About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced
HR Officer
to provide first-line HR support and guidance across the organisation. You will play a key role in implementing HR policies, supporting managers and staff, and ensuring compliance with employment law and regulatory standards (CQC and Ofsted).
As our
HR Officer
, you'll play a key role in ensuring we recruit, retain, and develop the right people to deliver our mission. You'll:
Support and lead on employee relations, including investigations and hearings.
Champion staff wellbeing and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.
Support and manage HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and training compliance.
Maintain accurate HR data and ensure GDPR compliance.
Contribute to strategic projects such as People Strategy, Wellbeing, and Disability Confident.
This is a varied role where you'll make a real impact on our people and culture.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience at HR Advisor level.
CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, IT and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Remain calm under pressure.
Experience with HR systems (e.g., PeopleHR) and knowledge of the charity sector, safeguarding, EDI, and CQC/Ofsted regulations are desirable.
