Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated HR Officer to play a vital role in supporting our employees and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to broaden their HR experience within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Providing first-line HR support and advice to employees and managers on policies and procedures Managing the full 360 recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and managing offers Support employee onboarding and training initiatives. Maintain accurate HR records and data entry tasks. Monitor and manage absences including LTS and sickness. Assisting with training and development activities Creating job descriptions, offer letters, contracts of employment, induction packs, ensuring legal compliance and accuracy Dealing with employee relations matters, including grievance, disciplinary procedures and investigations Implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensuring HR practices comply with relevant legislation and best practices. Preparing HR- related documentation and reports Involvement in other aspects of the business, including Health and Safety where appropriate

Requirements

Proven experience in human resources or a related field. Part or full CIPD qualification (Level 3 minimum) or equivalent or working towards Strong understanding of HR principles, practices and UK employment law Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to build rapport at all levels Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and professionalism Proficiency in MS office suite
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to work. Battles employs over 100 employees and therefore this role requires a good degree of organisation and a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
