Hours: 37 hours per week, Full Time, Full Year (Applications for part year/part time will be considered)
This is a permanent position.
The College HR Officer provides administration, people advice and support to the College Senior Leadership Team and acts as a point of contact for colleagues across the college. The post holder will be organised and enthusiastic with a knowledge of HR practices and can expect to be involved in all aspects of human resource management, managing multiple deadlines simultaneously with an excellent attention to detail. You will be experienced in dealing with a variety of sensitive issues in a confident and confidential way.
In this role you will arrange, manage, and administrate the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and selection to maintaining training records, absence management, payroll and keeping the college safeguarding records compliant.
The postholder will also have direct line management of some associate colleagues and will oversee the organisation of key functions within the college, linking into the Trust central office where required.
The successful candidate will be based at All Hallows Catholic College. As the HR Officer to the college, you will:
Engage with and enjoy working with adults and students.
Be an engaging and enthusiastic communicator and confident talking to Teaching and Associate staff as well as Students.
Have exceptional organisational skills and a flexible approach to challenging and competing tasks.
Have a strong understanding of HR practices and a practical approach to applying policies.
Have experience of working in HR, payroll, and recruitment.
The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a generalist role and hold CIPD Level 3 or above.
