We are looking for
HR Officer
to join our Central Services Team and support our team with HR advice and administration tasks. This role will involve working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support with the management of HR issues, the recruitment and onboarding/exit process, and in the review of HR Processes. This role will ensure the policies and procedures undertaken are in line with our values and charitable objectives.
What you'll be doing:
Support and communicate formal employee relations administration casework including disciplinaries, grievances, consultations and ensuring all paperwork is compliant with ACAS best practice and issued/implemented.
Assisting and/or escalating HR enquiries from Line Managers and Employees
Support line managers with the administration and delivery of employee relations casework, e.g. appraisals, absence management, performance reviews and management and dispute resolution.
Ensure Managers and Team Leaders are competent in using the People HR system, and absence, holidays, etc are being recorded and managed in line with policies and procedures.
Advise line managers and employees on terms and conditions of employment, current benefits, and support.
Ensure Managers and Team Leaders are completing regular 1-2-1 meetings with the team, follow up accordingly.
Ensure the Finance Team are updated with any changes affecting payroll.
Support with the administration and management of the recruitment processes, working with managers to ensure effective advertising, selection, and assessment.
Complete the onboarding process of new starters including contracts, pre-employment checks and arranging inductions and monitoring probation periods.
Regularly monitor and review HR policies and procedures with the SLT.
Edit and update Employee Handbook and existing competency framework as required.
Support the management of HR records and personnel files for all employees, including regular auditing and archiving.
Minuting of meetings and creating reporting documents and records.
Writing up relevant HR notes, formal letters and can-do approach to admin
What we're looking for

Essential:
Experience of working with HR administration, understanding of processes and activities
Flexible, kind, and enthusiastic approach
Personal accountability - able to work on their own initiative with a positive approach to problem solving/work to deadlines
Strong communication and organisational skills to manage deadlines and multi-task
Experience in Maintaining accurate employee records and GDPR Compliance
Experience of leading and delivering all aspects of recruitment to a successful outcome
Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and HR systems
Desirable:
CIPD Level 3
Experience of leading complex employee relations casework
Experience of working across different sectors including volunteering with charities
