This vacancy is for Internal Applicants only.

We are looking for an experienced and confident HR professional who is familiar with supporting the entire employment lifecycle in our busy HR team, which is currently going through a period of change.

This is a pivotal operational role within the Department's HR team playing a critical role in the day-to-day running of HR function as well as training the team when needed.

This is a fixed-term role to cover a period of absence, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

We are also happy to consider secondments from within the University of Oxford.

Working in a fast-paced academic setting, you'll need to be ready to hit the ground running and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused HR service to a wide range of staff and managers.

About You


You'll be an experienced HR generalist with strong operational knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills. You'll be confident advising on employment law and HR policy, comfortable handling complex casework, and experienced in leading or supervising HR staff.
You'll bring:
A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) Experience managing HR Processes Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law including UKVI compliance Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently Experience using PeopleXD/CoreHR
It would be great if you also have:
HR experience within the University of Oxford Experience of supervising/training staff Experienced in change management support
