As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Internal HR Officer to help us nurture, develop, and support our team.
Role Overview
This newly created, part-time position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a hands-on, generalist role. You will work closely with the Management Heads to deliver HR services that are aligned with business objectives, ensuring compliance, promoting a positive culture, and supporting day-to-day people operations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary HR contact for all internal staff queries and matters.
Manage and maintain HR policies, employee files, and compliance procedures.
Support recruitment: drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new starters.
Lead on performance reviews, absence tracking, and disciplinary processes where needed.
Foster and uphold a strong, supportive company culture through initiatives and feedback loops.
Maintain and update employment contracts, handbook, and documentation in line with UK employment law.
Liaise with external payroll providers as needed and maintain accurate HR records.
Monitor and improve internal communication and employee engagement.
Recommend and implement best practices in people management and organisational development.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a standalone HR role or small HR team (ideally in SMEs or dynamic environments).
In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills - empathetic, assertive, and fair.
Highly organised, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the HR function.
CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification (desirable).
Experience in a tourism, transport, or seasonal business environment is a plus.
