Opportunity

Laker Vent Engineering is seeking interest from experienced HR and Administration professionals to support a forthcoming client engagement in the Bristol / Bridgwater area.

The engagement will involve assisting a client with the mobilisation of their European workforce into the UK under the Skilled Worker visa route, while also providing wider HR and administrative support functions.

This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to Laker's ongoing growth, supporting the development of new client relationships and strategic workforce projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Visa Administration

Manage and coordinate Skilled Worker visa applications, ensuring full compliance with Home Office sponsorship requirements.

Recruitment & Staffing Support

Assist resource coordination teams in the recruitment and mobilisation of skilled workers, including managing relationships with temporary staff, subcontractors, and rotating teams.

Onboarding

Support the HR team with new starter processes, certification tracking, and induction administration.

Training & Development

Liaise with HR and SHEQ teams to support ongoing training, skill enhancement, and competency compliance.

General HR Administration

Maintain accurate personnel records, assist with documentation, and ensure adherence to data protection and company policies.

Experience & Requirements

Proven experience within HR, visa administration, or workforce mobilisation, ideally in an engineering or construction environment. Strong understanding of Skilled Worker visa processes and UKVI compliance. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems. Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
