The Role
This is a varied and impactful role, working
remotely
with
occasional face-to-face sessions
across Cumbria to deliver client consultation and support. You will:
Lead full-cycle recruitment campaigns for permanent, interim, and temporary roles
Deliver expert HR consultancy to SMEs on contracts, ER, compliance, and policy
Facilitate business consultation sessions, offering practical HR and recruitment advice to SME clients in Cumbria
Proactively engage new clients, generate leads, and contribute to business development
Build long-term partnerships through excellent service and sector-specific insight
Tailor HR and recruitment strategies to reflect each client's size, culture, and growth goals
Contribute to proposals, tenders, and wider marketing efforts to expand our regional impact
Ensure all advice is compliant with current UK employment law and best practice
About You
Proven experience in HR and/or recruitment (consultancy, agency, or in-house)
Comfortable facilitating business consultations and engaging with SME decision-makers
Strong business development and client relationship management skills
Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice (CIPD Level 5+ preferred)
Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Familiarity with HR systems (e.g. BreatheHR) is desirable
Full UK driving licence preferred (for client site visits)
