WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
Recruitment & Onboarding
Support the recruitment process, from creating job adverts to scheduling interviews and liaising with candidates.
Conduct thorough reference checks and coordinate background screenings to ensure candidates meet role requirements.
Facilitate onboarding and induction, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and well-prepared for their new role.
HR Administration & Record Keeping
Maintain and update employee records in the HR system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection guidelines.
Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics related to recruitment tracking, employee onboarding and workforce planning.
Provide administrative support across the HR department, including processing contracts, letters and other HR-related documentation.
Compliance & Policy Adherence
Stay updated on changes to employment laws and regulations, ensuring all HR practices adhere to compliance standards.
Support HR policies and procedures in line with public sector regulations, ensuring consistency and transparency across the organisation.
Collaboration & Employee Engagement
Work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to align workforce needs and support recruitment strategies.
Assist with HR initiatives aimed at employee engagement, training, diversity and inclusion.
Act as a go-to point of contact for HR-related queries and provide guidance where needed.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Assist in coordinating HR projects that promote a positive and supportive work environment.
WHAT BACKGROUND DO I NEED TO HAVE?
A qualification in HR or a related field
CIPD Level 3 or equivalent or working towards.
Minimum of 2 years experience in HR and Recruitment, preferably in an academic setting.
