Job Description


As part of the continued growth across the OCU Group portfolio of companies, new opportunities are always on the horizon. Due to this development we now have a requirement for an experienced HR Shared Services Manager to join our existing HR Team. The purpose of the role will be to oversee and manage the HR shared services function, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of HR services to employees across the organisation. You will be required to lead a team of HR administrators and coordinators, overseeing their daily operations, and driving continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR shared services team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Effectively manage performance, resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the delivery of HR services, ensuring timely and accurate execution of People processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage and optimize the HR information system (HRIS) and other technology tools utilized by the HR shared services team.
  • Identify and implement enhancements and upgrades to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the administration of employee life cycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, and other personnel changes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to People team members on complex employee cases or issues.
  • Develop, review, and maintain People policies, procedures, and documentation for the People shared services function.
  • Define and track key People shared services metrics and generate reports to assess performance, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, to understand their needs and expectations and provide responsive and high-quality people support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the people shared services function.
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant qualification in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a HR/People shared services team.
  • Strong understanding of People practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience in people service delivery, HRIS management, and process improvement.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, able to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage people metrics and data to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Change management experience, capable of leading and driving change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
