Job Summary



Our Commercial Team manage ConocoPhillips' worldwide commodities, supply, and marketing needs. The team work with our corporate commercial leadership around the globe on the development of risk management processes for expanded Crude, NGL, and LNG activities. In addition, the team work closely with our colleagues in Exploration and Production.


Based In our London City office, the role reports directly to the UK Manager and will support the development and delivery of our HR plan and corporate HR strategic activities in line with the business unit goals and emerging business needs. In addition to ensuring the delivery of cyclical HR activities, the successful candidate will work closely with our colleagues to understand the key HR priorities.




In order to support the strategic growth of our Commercial business, the ideal candidate will have significant experience of recruitment, with strong skills in talent acquisition, stakeholder management and candidate engagement.

Position Overview



Primary Role Objectives:



Responsible for the management and delivery of all HR activities to the relevant department teams, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, on-boarding, people/organisation, management of promotions, performance management, sickness absence and occupational health co-ordination Provide support to people managers to ensure excellence in HR provision, particularly in relation to complex employee relations matters Provide the appropriate assistance to ensure we continue to build the capability of people managers and supervisors to anticipate and respond effectively to organisational issues Assist the UK HR Manager with fostering and maintaining positive employee relations both informally and formally Support with the delivery of workshops/events to relevant groups which supports the learning and understanding of our company policies, best practice and UK legislation Analyse relevant HR metrics to identify people related areas for improvement. Report on KPI trends and make recommendations to reshape our approach Along with the UK HR Manager and members of the Corporate Commercial HR Team review the talent management and succession planning data to identify gaps in people management activities and make recommendations for improvements Provide input and support to the design and delivery of the UK HR annual plan Participation in HR project activities and implementation of various initiatives which may involve collaboration with other members of the HR team Develop appropriate people resource plans which support our budgeted headcount provision Maintain a clear understanding of the UK employment legal and corporate framework As part of the Norway D & I team, actively support Diversity and Inclusion activities Production of monthly HR KPI A3 for relevant departmental lead In conjunction with local and global HR team support a UK HR communication annual plan Support local UK employee engagement activities which support our commitment to CSR

Competency Requirements



A high degree of analytical skills, numeracy and literacy Strong attention to detail CIPD qualification is desirable Strong market knowledge Experience HR Generalist Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
