About Hinkley Point C / MEH Alliance
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a
H&E Advisor,
you will have the following accountabilities:
Conduct inspections and observation of site activities and sub-
contractor operations per shift and record within insight. Carry out HSE inspections across the site, including at height, in
confined spaces etc. Report any trends to relevant discipline manger as
soon as identified. Intervene when unsafe practices are observed, offering solutions to
observations made. Participate in training and support become H&S subject matter
Play an activate role in supporting accident incident management and
Have knowledge and understanding of the site procedures, monitor
compliance within the field. Provide competent specialist advice on identified topics, specifically
COSHH.
Who we're looking for
NEBOSH general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or
Strong construction background with a minimum 5 years' experience.
HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people
Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations.
Suitable site experience in a similar role, preferably in the nuclear
industry would be of a benefit. Able to obtain a security clearance.
