About the role



Powertherm is currently seeking a HSE Advisor to join our team, working out of our project office located in the Northwest Region. As part of the companies QHSE department you will support our ongoing projects and site activities. You will be responsible for providing advice, assistance and support to the Company and employees by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and processes, client requirements and external legislation and regulations.

Key responsibilities



Safeguard the health and safety of employees, contractors, and visitors Ensure Compliance: adherence to legal, regulatory, and company-specific HSE standards Prevent Incidents: Identify hazards and implement controls to prevent accidents and environmental harm Promote Safety Culture: Encourage safe behaviours and continuous improvement through training and engagement. Support Operational Efficiency: Enable safe and sustainable operations that minimize downtime and liability.

We are looking for someone who will:



Advise personnel on the promotion of health, safety and well-being at work Respond to requests for advice of litigation/HSE investigations Keep up to date with HSE legislation changes Ensure adherence to all applicable HSE legislation Design and deliver training on critical HSE topics, safe systems of work and best practice Conduct investigations into major accidents and incidents, advising operational management of recommendations to prevent recurrence Ensure the Company meets government regulations and HSE standards Conduct site inspections for HSE matters and prepare reports Promote positive a HSE culture Participate in QHSE initiatives including assisting with tasks to assist the sites to meet their KPI's etc Support the administration and maintenance of HSE management systems Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions Occupational Health & Environmental Management - Monitor occupational health risks and support wellness initiatives Oversee environmental compliance Work closely with site managers, supervisors, and HR to integrate safety into operations Communicate safety updates and changes effectively

We are looking for the following attributes:



Minimum of Level 3 NEBOSH qualification - General or Construction Previous experience in a similar HSE role (typically 3-5 years) COMAH Site Experience Environmental qualification, working towards or willing to attain during employment Experience of construction and contracting Good organisational skills Good communication skills Highly effective interpersonal skills IT literate Leadership and influencing skills Knowledge of health and safety, and environmental legislation Relevant managerial experience
