Job Purpose

As a HSE Advisor you will be tasked with providing operational health, safety & environmental technical support & advice to our head office staff & site teams. You will work as part of the Duo SHEQ Compliance Team reporting to the SHEQ Compliance Manager. Tasks will include managing health & safety compliance at our Coventry office & workshop; ensuring that HSE best practice is embedded & followed on site; preparing risk assessments & method statements; conducting audits, inspections & incident investigations & liaising with client H&S Team.

Duties

Maintaining Head Office & Workshop health & safety compliance.

Supporting the Site Team by providing authoritative advice and guidance on health, safety & environmental matters.

Promoting adherence to the company policies and procedures.

Carrying out regular site checks & inspections for HSE compliance.

Carrying out PAT testing & building compliance checks.

Planning & implementing Safe Systems of Work including production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Reviewing & approving subcontractor RAMS as required.

Ensure robust reporting regimes are followed for HSE reportable incidents.

Gathering evidence, investigating incidents & producing incident reports.

Improving & reporting on arrangements for health, safety & environmental management on site.

Delivering internal training on HSE related topics.

Reputation and Risk Management in all operational activities.

Do You Have?

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Desirable).

Certified Internal auditor (Desirable).

Good working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and associated standards.

At least 3 years relevant experience in the Construction Industry.

Membership of IOSH would be advantageous

Must hold a clean full driving licence and be willing to travel.

Must be able to work independently under own initiative.
