What You'll Do
------------------
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE programmes, systems, and records in line with the HSE Manager's requirements.
Conduct and review risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure compliance and relevance.
Support the creation, monitoring, and improvement of HSE policies and procedures.
Assist in HSE audits, workplace inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring action plans are completed.
Deliver site inductions and training to promote a strong safety culture.
Support the design and delivery of health & safety training programmes based on legislation.
Investigate accidents and incidents with the HSE Manager to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure COSHH risk assessments are completed and hazardous substances are stored safely.
Arrange external training, inspections, and audits where required.
Provide regular safety reports to senior management.
Maintain emergency procedures, first aid facilities, PPE, and safety signage.
Support safe plant, machinery, and material handling processes.
Assist with the Health & Safety Committee and related projects.
Carry out administrative tasks, safety communications, and other reasonable duties as needed.
What We're Looking For

Desirable 1-2 years' experience in a Junior HSE Coordinator, Administrator, or similar role.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritise workload.
Good knowledge of health & safety requirements.
Desirable: 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or food manufacturing.
Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate or Safety, Health & Environmental Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship (or willingness to work towards this).
