HSE Manager

at our

Glasgow/Stirling

.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Work with the Head of HSE and HSEQ Director to ensure delivery of Zero Harm and deputise where required. Provide effective technical HSE advice to the business Manage and develop the HSE professionals within their chain of command including coaching and mentoring and required Ensure that business activities are carried out in accordance with recognised industry best practice, Regulatory requirements and Internal Management Systems Undertake health and safety compliance evaluations, tours and inspections as required and to ensure sufficient assurance of business activities. Support the HSE governance structure Collate HSE information including statistics into reports / presentations Review and investigate incidents, accidents and near miss events in accordance to Natural Power standards to and identify and effectively share lessons while supporting the Serious Incident Review process Support client representatives on all HSE related topics Work with the wider NP HSEQ team to promote Zero Harm and continuous improvement of performance through projects, initiatives and improvement plans. Assist in the planning of work activities and inspection scheduling. Develop and Delivery HSE training as required Sit on industry meetings acting as Natural Power representative as required Travel expectations approx. 30-40%

PERSON PROFILE:



Education & Qualifications



Degree in relevant field NEBOSH Diploma level in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health GWO Basic Safety Training ISO internal audit certificates WTSR Rules Certificate HV qualifications Fire risk assessment Standard and Medical fitness

Specialist Knowledge & Skills



Experienced in providing health and Safety management within a technical industry, for example: + Renewable Energy + Electrical utilities
+ Construction
Experienced in the development and management of health and safety management systems Strong ability to work strategically, problem solve, analyse data and develop effective actions. Experience in health and safety training / coaching Project Management

Relevant Experience



Minimum of 10 years proven track record as a health & safety and 5 years as a manager preferably in renewables, construction, electrical or a heavy engineering industry. Site based experience CSCS Card



This is a

PERMANENT

role, working 37.5 hours per week,

Monday to Friday.
