Responsibilities:
xc2xb7Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are in place, communicated and enforced, and systems and procedures required daily, weekly, monthly and annual are correctly implemented in time.
xc2xb7Ensures the company is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements
xc2xb7Liaise with HSE and other Enforcing Authorities on behalf of the company when required to do so
xc2xb7Carry out workplace inspection audits.
xc2xb7Conduct fire drills to ensure all employees understand what to do in case of emergency and to ensure that the equipment is working sufficiently
xc2xb7Conduct investigations into accidents, emergencies and near misses to determine causes and preventative measures
xc2xb7Provide information, advice and support to the management team on all aspects of Health and safety across the site
xc2xb7Conducts training with employees to ensure that they are aware of the regulations and procedures and provide guidance and ensures training is up to date.
xc2xb7Compile, analyze and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents
xc2xb7Chair Health and Safety Committee meetings; coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-up on action plans.
xc2xb7Maintain the ISO System at the designated site.
The Ideal Candidate:

• Certificate in Nebosh or equivalent, diploma would be advantageous.
• Previous Health & Safety Experience
