Trelleborg Polyurethane Products provides innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries within the Shipbuilding, Rail and Industry sectors. We are a standalone product area positioned within three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 16,800 employees around the world.

We are looking for the successful applicant to for ensure a safe and compliant working environment by implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards across our production facilities, adhering to and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and driving initiatives that safeguard people, processes and the environment.


Tasks and Responsibilities

Develop, drive, support the implementation and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Conduct risk assessments, audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and environmental laws. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Lead and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and awareness programs to staff and contractors. Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate HSE standard processes into daily operations. Perform routine inspections and audits of machinery, workstations, and storage areas. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and KPIs. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required documentation. Promote a strong safety culture through engagement, communication, and leadership. Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company and legal requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

The position calls for a candidate that holds NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE certification. HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting with a strong understanding of machinery safety, hazardous materials handling and ergonomics. An understanding of local and international HSE regulations and standards would be desirable and being proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.



Communication is key for this role, interacting with internal and external partners, including coaching abilities with capability to train. Therefore, we want someone who has positive relationship building skills with an ability to connect with staff at all levels. Being self-motivated and results driven, with facilitation and instructional skills and the ability to influence.
