JOB TITLE: HSEQ Advisor



JOB LOCATION: Cumbria wide



TERMS: Permanent



THE JOB



As an HSEQ Advisor, you will support the delivery of an integrated service in all aspects of HSEQ management, including supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans and objectives that support both operational requirements and the Group's governance and assurance framework for health, safety, environmental and quality management.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?



Monitor our Build Teams performance against internal HSEQ Inspection KPI's - updates on statistics, following up audit queries, analysing the data for contractor performance reports. Assist with the completion of Weekly Reports to review our partners HSEQ Performance. Completing 10 HSEQ Inspections per month. This will include reviewing performance of VO and its Partners performance. Complete weekly inductions with all new employees and sub-contractors into the business. Attending and input into Project meetings. Act as a coach and mentor our teams on a broad range of HSEQ issues, supporting them in embedding HSEQ policy and process where appropriate. Inspections to ensure compliance with LOLER and PUWER Legislations. Review of Construction Phase Plans along with Risk Assessment & Method Statement from Contractors. Assisting with the completion of Contractor Monthly HSEQ reports - requesting & collecting data and embedding the data into our monthly KPI's. Monitor compliance with our Lone Worker Policy and provide data so compliance can be gauged. Develop initiatives to improve compliance. Continued Review on PPE compliance and providing PPE to new employees to the business. Assisting with the future develop of our ISO Policies and Procedures and assisting in ISO Compliance. Keep up to date with legislative compliance register. Development of Risk Assessment, Method Statements, Toolbox Talks and assisting with communications of same. Attending and input into Project meetings Complete Audits of our internal ISO procedures and processes Review of sub-contractor questionnaires and advise of approval/rejection of same. Auditing our emergency response procedures, ensuring compliance and implementing improvements. Striving for continuous improvements and problem solving.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?



Essential



Qualification in a relevant subject related to construction health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) or equivalent qualifications/experience Experience in developing and implementing 45001, 14001 and 9001 Management Systems Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of HSEQ generalist skills Sound knowledge of HSEQ law, and relevant sector-specific HSEQ standards in relation to construction/building Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and with external bodies Will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover a large geographical area across Northern Ireland & GB. Previous experience in a similar role within telecommunications
