The role of Hub Assistant includes day to day operations of outdoor/indoor facilities; maintaining a high standard of service to our hub members and customers. Other duties will include welcoming clients/groups into facilities; patrolling public areas in and around facilities; lone working, setting up and taking down equipment; cash handling, bar work and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
To assist and support other Hub staff under the supervision of the Hub Manager.
To provide a point of first contact for all members and customers.
To provide a friendly and efficient service that demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service; acting as a point of contact, taking messages and dealing with enquires and minor complaints, responding to requests for relevant Information.
To ensure the provision of day to day operations of the centre services, including evenings and weekends.
To receive payments, issue receipts and undertake other financial duties where appropriate, including till operation
To book in customers on booking system.
To control access to the facility and ensuring safe use of any facility area or equipment
To ensure a safe environment is maintained and report any faults or defects in the facility
To have a knowledge and understanding of safety codes of practice, safety instruction and emergency procedures
To check, set up, break down and store equipment as necessary within manual handling guidelines
To undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness , working within COSHH regulations
To be aware of, and be responsive to, changes within the Hub and adopt a flexible and proactive approach to work
Provide bar services and support with stock rotation/handling.
Qualifications
Previous customer experience is preferred but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is important.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
Experience of cash handling
Experience of working in a bar (desirable)
