Role Overview
We are seeking a
HubSpot CMS Web Developer
, to lead on an exciting project to lead the design and development of our website(s) using the HubSpot CMS platform. This role involves wireframing and building custom Themes, Templates, and Modules within HubSpot CMS, integrated with our HubSpot CRM and Marketing platform.
You will collaborate closely with directors, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to define key functionality and branding elements, then bring those designs to life in HubSpot. Your work will include building optimised, responsive websites, landing pages, and various content templates, as well as troubleshooting bugs and ensuring cross-device compatibility.
We want a proactive problem-solver who builds scalable and extensible web solutions, prioritising usability--enabling non-developers to easily update content within HubSpot, as well as more complex solutions that you will continue to manage and/or train relevant stakeholders to administer.
Key Responsibilities
HubSpot CMS Development
Develop a custom and optimised HubSpot website for the company with the potential for more websites to be later built.
Create web assets, including Themes, Landing Page Templates, Insight Templates, and bespoke modules that integrate smoothly with HubSpot CRM and Marketing tools.
Troubleshoot web glitches, optimise templates for ease of use UX and UI, and ensure cross browser/device compatibility.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders from wireframing, through to the final build, aligning web design with marketing goals.
Communicate regularly with Marketing and other teams about project status, incorporating feedback and bespoke requests.
Research and plan for a potential HubSpot-based Members Area, including member accounts, profiles, and real-time communications.
Implement chatbots and AI communication tools to enhance user engagement.
Support integration of HubSpot CMS with other business areas (Accounts, HR, Business Support) as needed.
Maintain data integrity and optimise CRM processes related to the website.
Develop user guides, testing plans, and manage project backlogs, preferably within an Agile framework.
Marketing Project Support
Provide technical support for marketing initiatives through HubSpot asset development.
Manage one-off web projects, including integration of third-party elements on our platforms.
Ideal Skills, Qualities and Values
Proven experience in developing HubSpot CMS
High proficiency in the following coding languages:
HTML
CSS
HubL
Medium proficiency in JavaScript
Medium proficiency in HubDB
Knowledge of MySQL or equivalent relational databases
High proficiency in HubSpot platform, including custom Themes, Templates, and Modules
Experience with API integrations and third-party tool connections.
Familiarity with SSL encryption, GDPR compliance, and role-based access control
Strong logical thinking with a focus on sustainable, long-term solutions.
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, capable of producing process and user documentation.
Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive with a passion for technology and inbound marketing.
