Post Title: Human Resources Administrator
Reporting To: Human Resources
Salary: Up to 25,856 per annum
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week preferred, part time options will be considered.
Holidays: 29 days plus bank holidays
The Specific Nature of the Role
The Human Resources Administrator will perform a wide variety of tasks which support the College's overall HR and Workforce Development operations. This is a generalist HR role which will provide a high level of service to all stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To provide administrative support to the College HR systems.
To assist in ensuring that all HR systems and records are timely, up to date and are accurate at all times.
Support the collation, extraction and presentation of HR-related information on a structured and ad hoc basis.
Preparation of all types of contractual information for full and part-time staff.
Coordinate the Disclosure and Barring Service online application process for staff and students.
To support the administration and submission of pension information to relevant pension scheme providers, using hard copy and electronic (employer portal) systems.
Administration for all areas of recruitment and ensuring all documentation is completed and relevant procedures are followed, specifically safer recruitment practices.
Support Managers as appropriate with recruitment procedures and ensure all documentation is completed and recorded.
Assist with HR inductions with all newly appointed staff, including the delivery of induction sessions.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the HR and Payroll system.
To continually review HR systems and assist in internal audits to ensure optimum levels of compliance, efficiency and effectiveness, such that reliance on paper-based systems is minimal.
To ensure that HR systems are consistent with policies.
To assist in the administration and monitoring of terms and conditions of employment, including salary, leave entitlement, sickness and other benefits.
To support the Head of Human Resources as and when required.
General housekeeping, scanning and filing.
To maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
To undertake relevant training as required enabling the post holder to perform such duties consistent with the position.
To promote and implement the policies of the Corporation to ensure the efficient operation of its business and the welfare and interests of its students and employees.
To perform such duties consistent with the position as may be required by the Principalship from time to time.
