Role Brief



This varied and hands-on role requires a confident, proactive individual who can support our HR Advisor and advise managers and supervisors on day-to-day people management, absence management, and employee relations (ER) matters.

Key Responsibilities



Monitor and identify absence trends, escalating concerns as appropriate. Coordinate Occupational Health (OH) referrals and conduct wellbeing meetings, ensuring compliance with GDPR and internal processes. Produce and distribute monthly sickness absence reports to managers, highlighting areas for improvement and advising on strategies to reduce absence. Ensure employees attending company-funded training courses sign agreements outlining repayment terms in the event of resignation. Take accurate notes during investigations and disciplinary hearings, issue formal documentation, and compile supporting evidence. Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to line managers on key themes and reasons for leaving. Track new starters through their probationary period, prompting regular review updates and advising on pass/fail procedures. Maintain accurate records including employee headcount, sickness, disciplinary cases, and recruitment metrics on the HR drive. Deliver engaging HR inductions to all new starters, ensuring a positive onboarding experience.

Role Requirements



Experience supporting or advising on end-to-end HR processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with managers and leaders. Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail. Solid understanding of GDPR and the handling of confidential data. Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, with working knowledge of HR and time/attendance systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities. CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum); ideally working towards Level 5.

Pay: 27,000.00 per year
