SUMMARY:





Tilray Medical is building the leading global medical cannabis company with an infrastructure to support the thousands of patients across Europe. In line with our strategic plans for these businesses, we are seeking a hands-on and driven HR Director, International. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of International ("CSO") and will hold a strategic leadership role responsible for designing and executing the human resources strategy for the International Business. This individual will oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development across the International Business. The role demands a visionary leader who can align HR practices with the International Business goals, fostering a high-performance culture. This role is hybrid, in-office 4 days per week and requires travel 25% of the time.



ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


HR Strategy Development


Design and implement HR strategies aligned with the International Business' objectives. Develop HR policies and practices that support scalability and global expansion. Partner with senior leadership to identify and address workforce needs.

Talent Management


Lead talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent. Implement programs for employee retention, career development, and succession planning. Monitor and improve the employee value proposition (EVP) across regions.

Employee Engagement and Culture


Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects the Company's values. Oversee employee engagement initiatives and satisfaction surveys. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees at all levels.

Compliance and Risk Management


Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global labor laws and regulations. Mitigate HR-related risks by maintaining updated knowledge of relevant employment legislation. Oversee ethical practices and handle escalated employee relations issues.

Compensation and Benefits


Working with Corporate HR, develop competitive global compensation structures and benefit plans. Evaluate and work to ensure equitable pay practices across regions and roles. Oversee reward and recognition programs to motivate employees.

Performance Management and Development


Drive a global performance management system to set and review goals. Champion professional development programs and leadership training. Utilize data-driven approaches to measure and improve workforce performance.

HR Operations and Technology


Maintain data integrity and compliance by using HRIS and implementation of other technologies. Collaborate with IT, HR and Finance Shared Services. Oversee the implementation of HR technologies and systems for efficiency. Standardize HR processes while respecting local cultural and regulatory differences. Monitor HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making.



QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including international HR management. Proven track record in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. Experience in mergers, acquisitions, or global scaling is a plus. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into actionable HR strategies. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence across cultures. Proficiency in HR software and data analytics tools. Strong knowledge of global labor laws and HR compliance. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to navigate cross-cultural nuances and operate effectively in diverse regions. Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives and support organizational growth. Emotional Intelligence: Build trust and relationships at all levels of the organization. Innovative Thinking: Continuously improve HR processes and employee experiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders at all levels. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
