Job Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources & Employment Relations Officer to support HR operations at group level and across multiple subsidiaries. The role involves recruitment, interview coordination, and employment relations for a range of positions within the group. Many roles operate in a multilingual working environment, particularly involving Chinese, Japanese, and English communication.
The group operates across hospitality, food & beverage, retail, and event-based businesses, including coffee, cocktail, and event-led concepts.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment activities for the group and its subsidiaries, including candidate screening and interview coordination
Assist in hiring for multiple roles across different business units, particularly within hospitality and event-related operations
Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and personnel records
Maintain employment contracts, terms and conditions, and staff handbooks
Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary procedures
Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal policies
Support payroll, attendance, and general labour-related administration
Liaise with external HR consultants, accountants, and legal advisors
Requirements
Proven experience in HR, employment relations, or a related role
Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written) - essential
Japanese language skills are an advantage but not essential
Experience in coffee, cocktail/bar, hospitality, or event operations is preferred
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment
Familiarity with UK employment law and HR procedures is preferred
Legal right to work in the UK
Salary & Benefits
Annual salary of 27,100 - 33,400, depending on experience
