As a Human Resources Generalist, you'll play a vital role in supporting every stage of the employee lifecycle. You'll partner with managers and employees to ensure fair and consistent practices, legal compliance, and alignment with CareCo's values.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours over a Monday to Friday week, based out of CareCo's Leeds site but requires flexibility to travel to other sites as and when needed.

What are my responsibilities?



Advise and guide managers and employees on CareCo's policies and procedures. Manage employee relations cases, including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance matters. Support managers with mediation and resolution of workplace issues, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure our in-house system (PeopleXD) is kept up to date and compliant with GDPR. Collate and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to produce reports and support decision-making. Lead a smooth onboarding process and create a positive new starter experience. Partner with managers to forecast and plan workforce needs. Promote continuous learning, development, and compliance training. Help deliver pay, benefits, and reward programmes in line with company policy. Drive engagement with recognition schemes, wellbeing initiatives, and CSR activities. Contribute to regular policy reviews to ensure compliance with employment law. Build strong relationships at all levels, role-modelling and promoting company values.

What qualifications & skills are required of me?



CIPD Level 5 or working towards, or an equivalent qualification. GCSE English and Math's level 4/C or above. Proven experience working in an HR Generalist role, ideally within a multi-site, fast-paced organisation. Sound knowledge of UK Employment law and HR best practice. Experience in employee relations case management. Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and procedures consistently. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Capable of prioritising workload and meeting deadlines under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt styles to suit different audiences. Confident in coaching and advising line managers on HR Matters. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with experience in HR software (experience with PeopleXD is desirable but not essential). Problem solving approach with sound judgement and decision making. Approachable, supportive whilst remaining professional. Proactive and self-motivated. A driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
