The Human Resources Graduate Programme within our People Function is a one-year programme and offers and excellent grounding in the fundamental principles of all employee-related matters across our organisation. Based in our offices in London, you will be working largely with the senior leadership team within our People Function on a range of projects ranging from Reward to Talent to Human Resources Business Partnering. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will have the chance to support in the day-to-day delivery of activity which relates to the People Function's strategy. By the end of the programme, you will have a high level of understanding of strategic delivery, the administrative and operational aspects of human resources, and more technical knowledge in areas across the Function. This is a fantastic opportunity to understand the breadth of Human Resources and to build your confidence and capability in a commercial environment.
All graduate positions are offered on a permanent contract. Upon successful completion of the programme, individuals continue in their roles within the People Function, equipped with the experience and insight gained throughout the Graduate Programme.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborating with the People Senior Leadership Team to provide support across a variety of projects, assisting with priority tasks as they arise, and adapting to evolving needs
Build key relationships with all aspects of the People Function, at all levels and foster relationships with employees across our business.
Work closely with Senior Leadership team and the Business Manager to monitor delivery on the Function's key priorities. Build an understanding of the business of running a Function such as reporting, invoicing, budgeting, diary management, risk and governance and supporting on audit actions
Data analysis and visualisation in PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI and making recommendations to Senior Leaders distilling complex information in an easy-to-understand format
Supporting with board and senior level reports on HR related matters
Assist with the creation and distribution of Function-wide communications and
communication/engagement strategies.
Manage time effectively, often balancing competing priorities and able to make informed decisions
What we're looking for:
A relevant degree in either Human Resource Management or Psychology
Minimum Grade 7 (or grade A) at Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
Comfortable with large amounts of data and able to analyse and present data in an easy to digest format
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; high levels of emotional intelligence, actively listens and is able to adapt communication style
Comfortable and confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
Special Requirements:
You will be required in the office a minimum of two to three days per week and this may increase with business requirements. You will also be required to travel regularly to our other offices around the UK, specifically Cirencester in Gloucestershire where the majority of our People Function is currently based.
To be eligible for this vacancy, all candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
This programme is due to last for one year. If your right to work is based on a Visa that will expire before the end of the programme, it may not be possible to employ you in the role as at present, this programme does not meet the minimum salary thresholds required for skilled worker visa sponsorship under the UK Home Office guidelines. As a result, we're unable to accept applications from those requiring visa sponsorship in order to complete the programme.
