Silverwood School is an inspirational and forward thinking maintained special school based in the heart of Wiltshire and spread across three campuses. Our school is dedicated to supporting pupils aged 4-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Officer to join our friendly and professional team supporting around 390 dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide exceptional education and care for our pupils.

About the role:



As the Human Resources Officer, you'll provide proactive, high quality HR support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, wellbeing and absent management.

Working closely with the Director of Finance and Resources you will:

Carry out HR administrative tasks ensuring compliance with policies, legislation and safer recruitment practices.

Advise and support managers on employee relations, absence management and performance alongside support from our HR Team at Wiltshire Council Local Authority.

Coordinate recruitment campaigns and induction processes for new staff.

Maintain accurate and confidential HR records.

Contribute to HR initiatives that promote staff wellbeing, engagement and inclusion.

The ideal candidate will:



Have experience in HR operations, ideally within an education or public sector setting

Previous knowledge of safer recruitment and HR best practices.

Be organised and detail orientated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Have confidence to work independently while being a supportive member of a small HR Team.

Be committed to upholding the school values.

A CIPD qualification of Level 3 or above, or equivalent experience is desirable.

Pay: 15.06-16.08 per hour
