In the heart of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, an 'Good' Secondary School are on the hunt for a humanities Teacher that can teach Philosophy and Religious Studies to GCSE and one other Humanities subject to KS3 to join them from February 2026 to cover a maternity cover for 1 year (employed directly by the school)

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Humanities Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

PRS Teacher to GCSE and one other humanities subject to KS3
Have an excellent knowledge and academic background in PRS along with other Humanities subjects

Be a proven outstanding practitioner, qualified to teach PRS and at least one other Humanities subject to the highest standard

Working with an experienced Humanities Team

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Must have QTS /QTLS Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level You must be able to work as part of a large team of Teachers Must be willing to listen to feedback
