Job Description

we have a client looking to strengthen their team with a HV Electrical Supervisor for Water & Wastewater Projects in the Kent and South East within the MEICA team to supervise electrical installations on site at Horsham.
You will report directly to the Area MEICA Manager and the responsibilities and duties will include
\xc2\xb7Supervision of site Electrical installations
\xc2\xb7Ensuring SHE standards are maintained and safe systems of work are being adhered to.
\xc2\xb7Ensuring a high-quality product is being produced in line with current standards and specifications.
\xc2\xb7Verification of new electrical systems
\xc2\xb7Safe isolation of LV electrical systems
\xc2\xb7Monitor supply chain performance and programme
\xc2\xb7Review and monitor supplier inspection and test plans ensuring they are up to date and relevant to the work activity.
\xc2\xb7Attend site inductions and toolbox talks.
\xc2\xb7Support Commissioning activities where required.
\xc2\xb7Attend collaborative planning meetings and have an active role in developing site delivery programmes
\xc2\xb7As Electrical Appointed Person, ensure electrical safety rules are adhered to and supporting documentation is produced in line with CMDP electrical safety rules.
\xc2\xb7Carry out electrical isolations.
\xc2\xb7Carry out regular electrical safety inspections on temporary and permanent equipment.
\xc2\xb7Hold 121\'s with supply chain supervisors as required ensuring take 5s are carried out.
\xc2\xb7Assist with compilation of project takeover documentation
\xc2\xb7Oversee electrical testing is being undertaken in line with BS7671, review test results against guidance note 3 and manufacturers literature.
\xc2\xb7Issue limitation of access permits
\xc2\xb7Keep a daily diary of site activities.

Qualification Requirements
\xc2\xb7SSSTS or SMSTS - Required
\xc2\xb7FAAW - Required.
\xc2\xb7ECS card - Required.
\xc2\xb7C&G 2330 or 2360 in electrical installations - Required.
\xc2\xb7NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations - Required.
\xc2\xb7IEE 18th edition wiring regs - Required.
\xc2\xb72391 Test and Inspect - Preferred
