Manage all phases of the project from start to finish, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
Team leadership:
Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary project team of engineers and other staff.
Stakeholder management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing relationships.
Financial and schedule oversight:
Develop and manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and schedules, ensuring projects remain on track.
Risk and quality management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and contractual standards.
Technical and commercial coordination:
Coordinate with engineering team to develop cost-effective solutions, and manage commercial and contractual matters with external service providers.
Business development support:
Provide technical expertise for proposals and tenders to help win new contracts.
Reporting:
Prepare and provide regular reports on project progress, status, and risks.
Required skills and experience
Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager specifically with HV substations or electrical infrastructure projects (typically 33kV and above).
Strong technical knowledge of substation design, construction, and commissioning.
Demonstrable track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects successfully.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
Experience with budget and schedule management.
