About the Role

Location: Bristol (hybrid working)

Right now, we're looking for a HVAC Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project - one of the most complex and ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe. You'll be playing a pivotal role in delivering the nuclear island and laying the foundations for Sizewell C replication.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.


In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.


At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.


For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.


In this role, you'll be working at the heart of the

HPC commissioning team

, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of HVAC commissioning documentation and processes. You'll interface with a wide range of stakeholders - from design and construction teams to senior commissioning leaders - helping turn complex plans into operational reality.

What you'll be doing

Lead

the preparation, execution, monitoring, and close-out of all commissioning documentation related to HVAC systems within the nuclear island scope.

Translate

complex engineering inputs into deliverables that meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards.

Collaborate

across multi-disciplinary teams - including systems engineering, I&C, electrical, and construction - to ensure cohesive delivery.

Support

both Edvance and client-side teams on the planning and execution of commissioning tests, ensuring readiness for the final test phases.

Monitor

progress, manage risk, and ensure compliance with Edvance engineering procedures and project governance.

You'll be a passionate engineer with a commitment to excellence and a desire to be part of something bigger.


We're on the lookout for experience in the nuclear sector, or other complex industries such as large infrastructure, rail, oil & gas.
