We are seeking a self-motivated, experienced HVAC Engineer to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role with local work and a Monday to Friday schedule, providing a great work-life balance. Occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required based on specific project needs, but this is not the norm.
The ideal candidate will be confident in both the maintenance of existing HVAC systems and the installation of new air conditioning and ventilation systems across a variety of settings and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on existing HVAC systems.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
Install new HVAC systems including:
Split DX systems
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Multi-split systems
HVRF / VRV / VRF systems
Ventilation systems
Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Maintain accurate records of work completed.
Collaborate effectively with other team members and contractors.
Work independently on-site and manage workload efficiently.
Availability for out-of-hours or weekend work as project requirements demand (on a flexible basis).
Requirements:
Proven experience in HVAC installation, servicing, and fault-finding.
Strong understanding of air conditioning, ventilation systems, and refrigeration principles.
Relevant HVAC qualifications and certifications (C&G F-Gas 2079-11 Cat 2 minimum required - Cat 1 Level 2 Preferred) NVQ Level 2/3, etc.).
Full UK driving licence.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to undergo one prior to employment), due to work in environments such as schools and care facilities.
Physically fit and able to use ladders, safely and confidently. Ongoing training given.
Desirable:
Air conditioning/HVAC Installation and Maintenance 3 years minimum experience (ideal)
Experience working in commercial and residential settings.
Previously worked within the Construction Industry.
Plumbing and Domestic Heating experience
Be able to carry out annual Fire Damper / AOV testing in accordance with BS:9999, BS EN 1366-2 and BS EN 15650.
