About the role:
It is an exciting and transformational time working with the Hertfordshire and West Essex NHS ICB. Sonic Healthcare UK manages Phlebotomy and all the Pathology Laboratories in the geography including a phlebotomy cohort of circa 150 Phlebotomists.
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Training and Development Manager to lead the Training and Development of our very large and diverse phlebotomy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programs to ensure that phlebotomy staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high quality, safe, patient care.
This role will work closely with Phlebotomy managers, team leaders and supervisors across the HWE geography.
The HWE Phlebotomy Training and Development Manager will be a key member of the Phlebotomy team with overall management responsibility for Training and Development over the HWE region. If you are a motivated and experienced Phlebotomy professional with a passion for Training and Development, we would love to hear from you.
Key duties will include:
To be responsible for the overall Training and Development, and administration of the HSL phlebotomy teams across all HWE phlebotomy locations. To ensure professional and technical standards and best practice are maintained within the services at all times. To ensure that all Training and development KPI's are consistently met. To provide close liaison with Phlebotomy Quality Manager, HWE Phlebotomy Manager and HSL Training and Development Lead. This will include the use of monitoring systems, provision and operation of equipment, site health and safety, maintenance of phlebotomy policies, maintenance of the quality management system.
