Hours:
40 hours per 4-day shift / working 4 days on and 4 days off, 10 hours per day
Location:
Barrow-in-Furness
As HWRC Operative, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day running of the HWRC site. The role involves ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided, and advising on the operation of the site to the public. You will be courteous, polite, helpful and presentable always whilst carrying out duties, and encouraging members of the public to recycle and segregate their waste.

How you'll make an impact
Assist the public with waste segregation and recycling, including providing guidance and safe physical help when needed.
Act as a Traffic Marshall when required and ensure site security at the end of each shift.
Follow all health and safety procedures, report hazards or incidents, and help maintain a safe workplace.
Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and build good relationships with colleagues and customers.
What we are looking for
Essential:
Full Driving Licence
Desirable:
IOSH managing safely
First Aid certificate
This role can be physically demanding and is predominantly based outdoors.
