Job Description

Specialising in the supply/repair of custom hydraulic hoses to various industries such as Manufacturing, Construction/Plant, Wind Power, Automotive and Marine. We are a Hansa-Flex distribution partner, one of the largest fluid power hose and connector manufacturers in the world.

Based in St Helens, we serve the North West including the Greater Manchester, North Wales, Lancashire and Cheshire regions. We are a 24/7 operation, providing on-site technical services 365 days a year utilising field technicians who operate a fully equipped service van for onsite hydraulic failure diagnosis and hose repair.

The role:

If so, we are looking for two experienced Technician's to join our rapid onsite mobile repair team. You will be responsible for

The supply and installation of hydraulic hoses and accessories.

Building hose assemblies in our workshop and on-site. For on-site there will be the provision of a mobile workshop

Responding quickly and professionally to meet the 1hr arrival time policy to minimise downtime at customer locations

Fault finding/diagnosis, repairs and custom hose assembly installations

Developing client relationships

What we require from you:



A minimum of two years experience working in a hydraulic workshop environment building hose assemblies and able to identify various fitting/thread types, sizes, etc

A good knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and basic safe operation of lifting systems and plant machinery

Good general mechanical knowledge (Other mechanical work experience an advantage)

Full UK driving license (ideally clean)

Educated to GCSE level (Further mechanical education an advantage)

Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure to meet deadlines

Good verbal and written communication skills, able to converse well with clients and confident to upsell additional products and services

A safe and responsible attitude to work in our workshop and at clients site and able to meet our H&S policies

Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of customer service

A willingness to work out of normal working hours covering emergency on-site

service calls with occasional weekend work

What we can offer you:



Full time employment working 8am-5pm (40 working hours per week)

Salary of 40,000 to 50,000 per year (depending on experience)

A generous out of hours/on call compensation package
