We are looking for a Hygiene Front Line Manager to join the Clawson family situated in both the picturesque village of Long Clawson, just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray and the picturesque village of Bottesford, just 7.5 miles from Grantham, 8 Miles from Bingham and 18 miles from Nottingham.

Ensure that Health & Safety procedures, Quality/Hygiene standards and company Rules, procedures and policies are always adhered to.
Assist with the delivery of training for the teams when needed.
Reporting of issues as they arise, which may impact on product quality, production /hygiene activities, and environmental issues.

Conduct weekly team briefings across all departments using the 4-box grid design.
Ensure a robust system of handovers directly to the hygiene manager on a weekly basis which will include the hygiene KPI's

Strive to improve productivity and cost reduction through control of wastes and loses, e.g. water, detergents and time by ensuring the teams are working efficiently.
Weekly auditing of areas to ensure that the finish standards includingthe methodology are to the correct standards.
To ensure that periodic cleaning is up to date.

Encourage teamwork and develop new ways of working within your team.
Work closely with the hygiene manager to make improvements and promote the hygiene department within the company.
Support in the creation and amendments of the HIC's/CIC's and ensure that they are up to date.
Support in the upkeep of the department task/cleaning/COSHH risk assessments.
Integrity
Manage the Team leaders, providing support and guidance, supporting in conducting performance development reviews, disciplinary and investigations issues, and ensuring training plans are up to date via the training matrix.
Implement corrective actions from GMP, Finish standard audits and external audits.
Liaise with the engineering department to sign off on hygiene standards.
What are we looking for?
Previous and proven Hygiene managerial experience within the food manufacturing industry.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Current intermediate food hygiene certificate (to be achieved within 12 months).
Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
Experience with HIC's / CIC's .
Understanding of COSHH .
Good level of numeracy and literacy to carry out area reporting activities.
Understanding of KPI's.
Good I.T skills including Excel and word.
Must be able to prioritise task and deadlines.
Must be able to work on own initiative.
Ambitious, driven and passionate about making improvements.
Adaptable / flexible to meet requirements and demands of the hygiene department during seasonal fluctuations.
IOSH or equivalent trained.
Experience of carrying out risk assessments
