Galloways Bakery - Wigan

We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to work at our main bakery in Wigan. The hygiene team start times vary from 08.00 to 16.00 - 10.00 to 18.00 and 12.00 to 20.00. You may be asked to cover different times during your working week and occasionally on a Saturday.

Working within an exciting and fast paced environment, you will be a key member of our Hygiene team and will ensure the service we provide is exceptional quality. The role can be physically demanding with a good amount of pushing, pulling and lifting involved. You will be based in our Wigan main bakery. Staff discount for all of our products in our 23 shops. Full training will be provided. Overalls and work shoes provided.

Working as a Hygiene Operative you will be required to:

Carry out day to day hygiene activities in line with daily requirements ensuring operational integrity. Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment as per the hygiene schedule Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel Ensure that chemicals are used and stored and used correctly Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor
What we're looking for

A cleaner with experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment, preferred not essential. Attention to detail High level of accuracy Team player Comfortable working in a chilled environment Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Ability to work unsupervised Progression is available
