We have an opportunity for a Skilled Operative to join our Operations Team at Fletchers Bakeries which forms part of our Northern Cluster.

Our Fletchers bakery has over 125 years of baking tradition, with our Kara bakery supplying delicious wholesale bakery products for over 35 years starting with the first floured bap. Both have been part of the Finsbury Food Group since 2014.

Fletchers Bakery can trace its roots back to 1895 and both bakeries portfolio of products have risen to include gourmet brioche, traditional sliced bread, bloomer breads and vegan and gluten free options, to name a but a few.

As a Hygiene Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for deep cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene-related tasks in line with food safety and manufacturing standards. . In addition to the cleaning duties, a Hygiene Operative is also responsible for the accurate completion of all associated paperwork, ensuring that due diligence is followed at all times.



This is what you'll actually do!

In this role, you will clean as you go is in operation and good hygiene and housekeeping practices are being carried out.

Ensure adherence to the food safety policies and procedures during the cleaning of equipment and production areas. Using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively in accordance with COSHH regulations.

Ensuring hygiene records and documentation are completed accurately

Maintaining high standards of personal and site hygiene to prevent cross-contamination

Following hygiene schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to ensure equipment and productions areas are cleaned in a timely manner ready for next production run.

Working to tight schedules and deadlines during shutdown days.



Dependant on skills and training this may involve strip down of machinery .You ensure pest control is maintained. You will ensure safe systems of work are followed, adhering to health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE.

Complete tasks via the CMMS system.



Maintaining high standards of hygiene and housekeeping will be a core part of your daily routine to ensure a safe and clean working environment.

You will strictly adhere to health and safety practices, promoting safe behaviours and aiming for zero accidents. You will carry out any additional duties as required to support production needs and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Previous experience in FMCG A conscientious approach with attention to detail Confident communicator at all levels. Good time management able to work to deadlines Physically fit some lifting and bending under machinery required Able to make decisions at right level or escalate if needed Basic reading, writing, numeracy, and computer literacy skills.
