What You'll Be Doing:
Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
Supporting dry side operations and completing mould changes.
Identifying and reporting faults quickly.
Keeping machines and work areas clean.
Operating a forklift (if licensed).
Helping with general tasks like quality checks, strapping, and wrapping.

About The Role
KEY RESONSIBILITIES
The following list constitutes the key tasks and duties of your post upon which your job performance will be assessed.
Gain operational knowledge and be proficient in operation of the dry side area. This includes understanding all relevant systems, controls, and procedures associated with the dry side area to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve dry side operations and support troubleshooting efforts when required.
Carry out mould changes on brick and paving production equipment in accordance with company procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and minimising downtime. Accurately set up, secure, and align moulds to guarantee product quality and consistency. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve any issues during mould changeover, and ensure tools and parts are cleaned and stored properly after each change.
Address faults as they arise, escalate significant issues to the appropriate personnel, and follow all safety and environmental protocols associated with plant operations.
Perform regular cleaning of equipment and machinery to maintain optimal performance and prevent build-up of dust, debris, or product residue.
Operate forklifts as required, provided the appropriate license is held.
Ensure that workplace cleanliness is maintained and adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols. Take personal responsibility for your own well-being and promptly report any concerns as required by company policy.
Proactively seek and suggest ideas for improvement--whether related to health and safety, business processes, or cost-saving measures--and report them as a 'Good Catch'.
Any other duties as required by management that are within your capability. (You will also be required to perform Grade 1 and 2 tasks, such as quality control, strapping, and wrapping, operation of KBH machine and dry side, whenever needed).

Required Criteria
Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job.
Adherence and appreciation for housekeeping standards
Be highly aware of health & safety in the workplace.
Reliable
Works well on own initiative and as part of a team.
Can travel to and from work areas as and when required
Minimum of 5 GCSE Grade A-C
Knowledge of Machine Maintenance
Desired Criteria
Proven experience of a machine operator in a manufacturing or production setting
Forklift Experience
Skills Needed
Data Entry and Basic Computer Skills, Situation Evaluation and Analysis, Ability to Identify and Anticipate needs, Electrical repairs
