Job Description
Shift pattern: 3 on 3 off, 12hr day shift 07: 00 - 19:00

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hygienist to join our team at Elkes Biscuits. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment by providing overalls and shoes to colleagues, ensuring the availability of soaps and sanitizers, and keeping the work area tidy.
Your duties will include however not limited to: Distributing overalls and shoes to colleagues at the beginning of shifts and collecting them at the end for laundering.
Monitoring inventory levels of soaps, sanitizers, and other hygiene supplies and replenishing them as needed.
Cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and common areas to meet hygiene standards and regulatory requirements.
Conducting regular inspections to identify areas in need of cleaning or maintenance and addressing any issues promptly.
Organising and disposing of waste materials properly, including recycling where applicable.
Assisting with other hygiene-related tasks and projects as assigned by the hygiene supervisor or manager.
Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Beneficial to have however not essential:
Previous experience in a hygiene-related role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move equipment and supplies as needed.
