Factory Hygiene Operative - Industrial Food Production

Wellingborough |12.21 per hour | Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Our hygiene team is the backbone of our operation, keeping everything running safely, smoothly, and to the highest food manufacturing standards.

The Role

This is a hands-on, physical role in an industrial food production environment. You'll work with a variety of cleaning equipment - from jet washers and vacuums to specialist power tools - to deep clean large-scale bakery machinery and production areas.

You'll be cleaning in a busy, warm, sometimes dusty environment, and you won't be afraid to get wet or work in tight spaces. Sometimes you'll be kneeling, other times working at heights - it's active work that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out deep cleans of

industrial bakery machinery

between production runs.

Using specialist equipment including

jet washers, vacuums, and power tools

.

Working in

con?ned spaces and at heights

when required.

Following strict

HACCP, COSHH, and Health & Safety procedures

.

Maintaining

high hygiene standards

to meet audit and customer expectations.

Wearing and maintaining correct PPE at all times.

Working closely with the hygiene team to keep the production ?oor spotless and

safe.

General GMP What We're Looking For

Factory or food manufacturing cleaning experience

- at least 1 year.

Knowledge of

H&S

and

COSHH regulations

.

Comfortable using cleaning chemicals and handling industrial equipment.

Physically ?t - able to lift, bend, kneel, and work in warm, wet, or dusty conditions.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

A real team player with excellent communication skills.
